Intelligent Design, when capitalized, refers only to a religious doctrine that was watered down as an attempt to circumvent the law. It was never science. Evolution remains science and the various religious interpretations of science continue not to be science. There is very clear distinction between evolution and theology: objective evidence. Conversely there is a continuum of ideas in theology, all based in doctrine and interpretation of scripture, but lacking in objective evidence, each asserting different opinions on how much an invisible hand stirred the pot, but never offering any evidence that there was a hand or even a mechanism to detect a fingerprint.
