Should I trade my Savannah monitor for a different lizard.?
I thought it would be different but my sav is a little wierdo, I mean he is cute, can be handled, and wasn't worth much but I expected a lot more out of him. I bought him a tank, lighting, heating rock, everything handle him, and everything. But all he tends to do is hide and burrow and is almost no fun to pet or play with. He seems dead to me to be honest like sickly, he doesn't eat well, occasionally cold when held since it hides under its rock and doesn't get the lighting/warmth it needs. I will see what happens with him and his attitude as time passes. I don't want to have to force feed him a pinky, that will be lame. Maybe I got it too small and it will be more fun later on. Anyways what do you guys think? a good sav to beardy, iguanna, or chinese water dragon would be nice. I mean savs are expensive and hard to take care of. I rather it not die and I rather trade off with someone who wants it. I mean I better off trade and let it live a nice life with people who know how to take care of it than have it die of hunger, disease, and I will have the pet I want and not have the hole in my heart since I just bought the tank and everything is set up for any desert animal. So anyone know if it would be a good idea or where I can trade it at?
